Company · The thesis

Most businesses do not need another tool. They need a workforce that does not sleep.

Nortra is the AI operating infrastructure for service businesses — starting with real estate, expanding to the entire long tail of operations that still run on someone's inbox at 11pm.

Why we exist

Software has gotten good. Operations have not kept up.

Every service business runs on the same broken pattern: a lead arrives, a human eventually replies, a CRM gets half-updated, a follow-up gets forgotten, a calendar gets double-booked. The bottleneck is never the software — it is the gap between systems where humans are still doing the routing.

Nortra closes those gaps with AI workers that respond, route, log, and follow up — the operational layer that should have existed all along.

Operating principles
Ship the boring parts.
Webhooks, queues, retries, audit logs. The boring parts are why it works at 3am.
One module at a time.
Listr first. Earn the right to ship the next module by making this one indispensable.
No demoware.
If a feature is on the website, it works in production with a paying customer behind it.
Tenant isolation is non-negotiable.
A brokerage's data is theirs. Enforced at the database, not on the honor system.

Frequently asked

Things buyers ask before signing.

Is this a CRM?+

No. Nortra sits in front of your CRM as the AI response and operations layer. Your CRM remains the system of record for closed deals; Nortra is the system of action for the work happening before the deal closes.

What lead sources can plug in?+

Anything that can post a signed webhook — Zillow, Realtor.com, Facebook Lead Ads, your own forms, IDX widgets, paid funnels. We provide a generic webhook endpoint and per-source prompt configurations during onboarding.

What happens when the AI is unsure?+

Each AI reply carries a confidence score. Below the threshold you set, the message is held for human review and an agent is pinged. Low-confidence messages never go out without you. The threshold is per-workspace and per-source.

How is data isolated between brokerages?+

Every record is scoped to a single workspace at the database level. Cross-workspace reads and writes are not possible — it is not enforced by the application alone. This is how every well-built SaaS works; we just do not cut corners on it.

What if Twilio or OpenAI goes down?+

SMS sends queue and retry on Twilio recovery. AI calls fail over from OpenAI primary to Claude fallback automatically. Outbound channel health is monitored and surfaced in the platform Errors page. Nothing is dropped silently.

Can we approve every AI message before it sends?+

Yes. Workspaces can run in fully-automatic, human-in-the-loop, or hybrid modes. Many brokerages start in human-in-the-loop for week one to build trust, then graduate to automatic on workflows where confidence scores stabilize.
